KIM YOUNG
TDMB: Whaz up Kim?
KIM : What's up Mr. Neal?
TDMB: Did U know that U are one of my favorite people on the circuit?
KIM : LOL! And so I've heard....
TDMB: How is it going?
KIM : Everything's going just swell.
TDMB: Where are U from?
KIM : I'm from Cedar Lake, Texas.
TDMB: Are U married?
KIM : No, I'm not married.
TDMB: Do U have kids?
KIM : 1 son

TDMB: Is he into sports?
KIM : Not softball, he loves basketball more than anything.
He’s the little kid at the softball tournaments dribbling a basketball. I
have to buy a new basketball just about every year. He plays a little
football too.
TDMB: What is your nickname?
KIM : Kim Possible
TDMB: Why do they call U that is it because U can do the impossible?
KIM: LOL! Yes.... It's actually a cartoon
character. I used to watch Kim Possible every Saturday morning and I think
some others watched it also because they know who she is.... LOL! A few
years ago when I played with the Dolls we got new bat bags and decided to
put our nicknames on the bags, that's how a couple people now to call me
that.
TDMB: I know that U love Softball, is there anything U love doing more
than Softball?
KIM : Actually before softball, basketball was my sport. I’m not up
to running up and down a court now but sometimes I go out and play with my
son. I take him to the hoop every now and again to show him that his mom
still has it. Although to answer your question, I love to hang out with my
son and my family more than anything in the world.
TDMB: Tell me the three things U enjoy doing the most in life.
KIM : One is giving God all the praise for keeping me here, taking
care, and watching over me for all these years. Another is to spend time
with my family; if I’m not playing ball then 9 out of 10 I’m with my
family and finally I love to travel.
TDMB: How many injuries have U had playing softball?
KIM : I've had two injuries playing softball in Beaumont,
Texas. I broke my ankle the year of 2004 in Beaumont and tore my ACL in my
knee last year in Beaumont. Beaumont is not one of my favorite places.
TDMB: U just had knee surgery in November and U are playing already, are
U crazy or do U love the game that much?
KIM : LOL! Both.... I think if I would have only skipped
those Beaumont tournaments then I would have been alright.
TDMB: Do U have any other hobbies?
KIM : Yep....
TDMB: So what are your other Hobbies?????????
KIM : Shooting pool, skating, fishing, and cooking.....
TDMB: What do U think about our Circuit Parties? (U sure can dress up)
KIM : It's something that had to grow on me. In the beginning I would
never go out to any of the parties, I use to play my games and head to the
room. If somebody asked me if I was going to the party I would say yes and
never show up. I finally broke down and went to a softball party, I had a
blast. Hey we play together so it won’t hurt for us to party together……
F-A-M-I-L-Y!
TDMB: I see U on the message board all day do U have a job???????
KIM : LOL! All day????? I for surely wouldn’t have a job if I
stayed on the board all day.
TDMB: Seriously how did U start playing softball?
KIM : LOL! Years ago one of my co-workers (from the job that
I’m still on today) asked me to come out and join a team that needed some
help and more youth. I kind of didn’t want to do it but I let her persuade
me to come out anyway. I couldn’t throw a ball five feet in front of me.
The team couldn’t stand me; they didn’t know why Jody Brown wasted his
time with me. I took off about two weeks because my arm was aching from
throwing (actually I was throwing the ball wrong); I came back a new
woman, throwing the ball from the outfield to home plate and the rest is
history.
TDMB: Who have U played with?
KIM : I started out with the infamous Houston Dolls, True
Statement, Lady-UT, and now Team Kemistry. And let me not forget that I
had the great opportunity of helping out Lady Top Dog.
TDMB: How is your team Kemistry looking this year?
KIM : We’re are looking about the same as last year. We have pretty
much the same team with a couple of additions. I think we will show up to
compete in all tournaments this year.

TDMB: What is your favorite tournament?
KIM : My favorite tournaments is any of the world tournaments.
TDMB: What do U enjoy about playing on the SBSA Circuit?
KIM : What I enjoy most about playing on the SBSA Circuit is the
family atmosphere, being around all my softball buddies, and just kicking
it.
TDMB: Do U pefer to play on the SBSA Circuit or the White Circuit?
KIM: LOL! Hmmmm…… Now that’s a good question. I would
prefer to play on the SBSA Circuit although the other Circuit (I don’t
want to say white because everyone is welcomed) give out great prizes.
TDMB: U know I have to ask, what would U like to see changed on the SBSA
Circuit?
KIM : A lot! Mainly I would like to see SBSA tournament directors
stop dragging tournaments into two day if they didn’t draw that many
teams. And also I’m still waiting to see certain SBSA tournament directors
give out better prize packages.
TDMB: Enough about softball lets talk about U, What is your favorite
color?
KIM : My favorite color is blue, that’s why I love my team
colors so much.
TDMB: What is your favorite restaurant?
KIM : Becks Prime Steak House
TDMB: What kind of man do U like mentally?
KIM : This is funniest interview…..First of all mentally I
like a God fearing man, one that puts God first in his life. I like a
level headed man, a man that stands up for himself and shows that he is
the MAN. You know - the one that “wears the pants” and puts his foot down
when needed. I also like a man that treats his woman like a queen.
TDMB: Physically
KIM : This is quite simple, I say it all the time…. Physically I
love a dark-skinned, fine brother with a muscular body, one that is welled
groomed with facial hairs that are kept trimmed at all times, a brother
that knows how to dress neatly. Do you know of any along those
guidelines??? LOL!

TDMB: Tell me something that most of the people on the Circuit do not
know about U?
KIM: I have three brothers and I am the baby of
the family. I was raised by my grandparents and I grew up as a Tomboy
being that I was the only girl of 4 boys (my cousin lived with us also).
TDMB: Thank U for your time do U have any shouts outs?
KIM : Yep…. First I want to give a shout out to Jesus Christ our
Lord and Savior for without Christ I am nothing. Lil Pepper (the spicy one
on the court) which is my son, Red’s Custom Awards, Team Kemistry, Lady
Brokers, TX. Lookouts, Lady Top Dog, Houston Dolls, True Statement, Lady
UT, Swingman 24 Sports, Houston Dogs, Houston Express, Rocstars, DaBomb
Softball, Jokers, Houston Brothers, Gamblers, Fidelty Medical, and all the
members of the TDMB. And everybody that has touched my life in some type
of way. I think that covers everybody.
TDMB: Anything that U would like to add?
KIM : Thanks for the interview and you are doing a fantastic job
with the message board.
